| The Kunming-Haiphong Transport Corridor – Noi Bai-Lao Cai Highway Project RDSC.- Jan2011.
On Dec 24-25, 2101, Abby Don, a research and communicationco-ordinator of the NGO-Forum on ADB, had been observed a training
course on “reserching impact of large infrastruture project in Vietnam” hold by
the Rural Development Services and Phu Thu Union of Science and Terhnology
Associations. The workshop was convened in Viet Tri , capital of Phu Tho province,
a central point of a North-South economic corridor project, connecting China and Vietnam, funded by ADB. She
met the management of the Kunming-Hanoi Highway project, and affected people in
a village of Phu Ninh commune, Phu Ninh District. Here, she shared a story
about the project and the observed concern of the villagers about the road and

| | Mekong School is now acceping applications for 2011. Ideal candidates are those who are active on environmental, human
rights, or community development issues, who are enthusiastic about
partnering with other activists from the region and who have the
capacity to become effective community leaders and/or advocates. No formal education is required, but asic English communications skills. The
training takes place in Chiang Mai, Thailand from June to December of
each year, and includes a two-month practicum in which students return
to their home countries to conduct field work. Housing, transportation,
